Well, when I was a little girl I saw previews for the "PATTON" movie. From that moment I was hooked, I knew that I would have to have a Bull Terrier some day. Little did I know what would transpire from there.
My first Bully was a white female by Smokey Combat Ace. Then my next two dogs were Brent Ruppel's (QUICKSILVER), a white female and a red/white male. Both sired by "CH Quicksilver Cold Steel". The red male "Quicksilver's Yankee Doodle" was never finished in show but he did have major points. The next female "Flo" was a "SINABAR" dog and the best bred dog I've ever owned. She was bred to "Yankee" and they produced my "CH Camelot's Lady Rapunzel". At the time I was showing, I also finished "CH Sinabar-Camelot's Sir Antony".
I can't say that I had a good time showing, as I found it hard to get into any of the show "Clicks". I got NO help or pointers in the show circle, so I had to learn on my own as I went along. I felt as if all the big breeders were too good to help out aspiring show colleges. I also belonged to a breed club for a while but was also discouraged. I resigned because of negative information that was printed about me in a newsletter (even though I was never contacted about the article). I even hired a lawyer to push a libel/slander suit, if a retraction was not printed. They eventually printed one, but by then people already had their mind set that I had erred. So as you can see my experiences were not very positive.
This was when I vowed not to be a conceded breeder and help people with as much information that I had gained in my breeding/showing experiences.
